About SpaySA

We've been in the business for over 10 yrs.

SpaySA will contine to work in San Antonio for another 10 yrs- or until we're not needed anymore.

SpaySA was incorporated on October 1st, 1997 as the Animal Resource Center. Unique in it's idea, the Animal Resource Center/SpaySA was orginally created by several local nonprofit animal shelter groups, the City of San Antonio, and the local Veterinary Association. They realized the need to create a low cost spay/neuter clinic in an area of town that accounted for many of the strays entering local shelters.

In 2010, in order to better represent their mission, the Animal Resource Center became SpaySA. SpaySA currently performs over 13,000 surgeries a year at low or no cost to the public. Thanks to grants and donations from differnt organizations or the community, SpaySA will continue to provide services necessary to prevent pet overpopulation in San Antonio.
